E-business logistics
& LTRM
Logistra has been
administering the Tekes E-Business Logistics Technology Programme (ELO)
2002- 2005. Tekes is the main public funding organisation for research
and innovation in Finland. The ELO-programme ended in 2005. The
emphasis of the programme was on executing and directing physical
material flows. A central viewpoint was how electronic business brings
about new demands on logistics and yet also provides opportunities for
the management of physical logistics. The ELO technology programme
focused on four key areas: supply chain and network management,
logistics services, product data and material handling automation.
An E-business Logistics Technology Roadmap
has been developed to anticipate the prospected future e-Business
Logistics Technologies relating to the ELO programme. Logistra was
responsible for both compiling and editing of the report. It has been
updated along with the ELO programme. The completed LTRM report has
been published in Finnish in March 2006 and will come out in English in
September 2006 - and it is posted on the ELO & Tekes pages.
